When Stig saw this bike, he nearly fell off his chair. The Dark Knight of bicycles; The Crimson Gold Vendetta; The Wolf in Gold Clothing. Call it what you will, (and Stig definitely will) – THIS is a sexy beast.

This divine two-wheeled stallion is the Madison Street bike with a copper plated frame and fork. It has a Cinelli 135 mm copper plated pista stem. Cinelli no. 14 bars; Brooks b 17 copper rail seat; Campagnolo Record seat post and Campagnolo Record head set copper plated; Campagnolo Record bottom bracket; Campagnolo super Record pista cranks painted blk. base/clear coat; Campagnolo super Leggari pedals and track rims with Vittoria Zaffiro tires.

Holey Moley! She’s a beauty, no?

Detroit Bicycle Company is one hell of an addition to the retail market…and we like it. The only problem is; do they deliver Down Under?

Steven Bock seems intent on helping to restore Detroit’s sense of dignity, whose reputation as the ‘Motor City’ has suffered in recent years. Detroit’s new tag as ‘The Renaissance City’, is bolstered by beautiful bikes created by the Detroit Bicycle Company.

This is the Madison Street, which has been popping up on bike and style sites from Culture Cycles to The Cool Hunter over the last week. It isn’t Steven’s only frame, there’s six more complete bikes on his site, each named after a street or avenue in Detroit. Each one is an eclectic yet tastefully compiled bicycle that has, at their core, a hand-built frame by Steven. On either bike, you can expect to find anything from wooden Ghisallo rims, pre-war Schwinn Paramount hubs, vintage Campagnolo Record or Superleggeri, topped off with a smattering of Cinelli and Brooks.
